  • Dr. Joey Rivera
    Dr. Joey Rivera President & CEO

    Dr. Rivera has more than 25 years of experience providing executive leadership within the software engineering domain and holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. As well as founding Rivera Group, he has spent over 32 years in the military, where his service spans his enlistment as a Private in the U.S. Marine Corps to Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. Rivera is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the U.S. Army Military Academy, West Point, NY, and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Indiana University Southeast School of Business.

  • Troy Thompson
    Troy Thompson CFO

    Troy has over 23 years of accounting, finance and business administration experience supporting a variety of small to large-sized businesses. He has spent the last 13 years working for companies that directly support the DOD, DHS, HHS and other various federal government agencies and programs. Troy’s background includes over 7 years experience with information technology and software service companies, as well as 7 years audit experience with the ‘Big 4’ accounting firm of KPMG in Louisville, KY, where he served a variety of businesses in manufacturing and other service sectors. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and is a practicing CPA in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Troy is a proud veteran of the US Army Infantry. He manages all aspects of EAGLE6 Software’s Finance organization.

  • Jason Ballard
    Jason Ballard Vice President

    Jason has more than 23 years of leadership and technology experience across various levels of government, private sector, and non-profit organizations. He has served as a Chief Information Officer (CIO) in three separate agencies, provided direct support to senior military and National-level leaders, and oversaw multibillion-dollar portfolios providing critical services in the defense of the Nation.

    Prior to his current role, he was the CIO for the City of Louisville, where he served as a senior advisor to the Mayor, city government executive staff, and civic leaders on all technology matters, strategy, and capital investments. He is also retired from the United States Air Force after spending 20 years leading numerous IT organizations and delivering the full spectrum of air, space, cyber, nuclear, and intelligence capabilities around the globe.

    Jason received his master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Troy State University. He also holds numerous internationally recognized professional certifications in IT, space, cyber, and program/project management.

  • Monica Kidwell
    Monica Kidwell Human Resources Director

    Monica has over 20 years of human capital management experience supporting operational, functional and corporate employees.  She is recognized for aligning HR strategies to business vision and bringing collaboration mentality to achieve results.  Her certifications include PHR and SHRM-CP and she earned her Business Management degree from Eastern Kentucky University.  She leads all aspects of Rivera Group’s human resources function.

  • Lou Ann Waldrop
    Lou Ann Waldrop Talent Acquisition Director

    Lou Ann has more than 10 years of recruiting and talent acquisition consulting experience within diverse industries, including Fortune 500 companies, across many disciplines such as IT, eCommerce and Consulting Services.  She’s a proven business partner providing service-oriented solutions for talent acquisition initiatives and holds a Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC).  She earned her degree from the University of Kentucky and leads all aspects of Rivera Group’s recruiting and talent acquisition functions.

  • Glenn Wright
    Glenn Wright Director, Application Development

    Glenn has over 30 years’ experience with technology solutions ranging from component repair on Anti-Submarine systems in the U.S. Navy, LAN/WAN administration with the State of Virginia and Application Development and Implementation for public and government sectors. He earned his Bachelors in Business Management from Old Dominion University and his Masters in Communication from Bellarmine University. He leads all aspects of EAGLE6’s Product Implementation.

  • DeVon Hankins
    DeVon Hankins Director, Enterprise Support

    DeVon has over 20 years of proven experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programmatic systems. She is accomplished at performance improvement, project management, strategic planning and policy design; holding certifications as a Six Sigma Greenbelt and Balanced Scorecard Professional. She also has applied skills in multi-lateral trade negotiation administration and trade agreement compliance for domestic and foreign engagements.

    DeVon has held a number of leadership positions, as a political appointee, at the federal, state and local level; performing the roles of senior policy advisor and senior project consultant. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Center for Performance Excellence, an affiliate of the National Baldrige Program which is sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

    DeVon holds two degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia: a B.S. in Agriculture; and an M.S. in Agricultural Economics, focus in Agribusiness Management, Finance, and Marketing. She has also served in the United States Army National Guard, for a combined 16 years, in both the Enlisted and Officer Corps. DeVon is responsible for establishing and institutionalizing change management across the EAGLE6 organization.

Small Business Administration (SBA) 2016 8(a) Graduate of the Year

“One way the SBA serves entrepreneurs is by consulting them on opportunities to build their businesses, and our 8(a) program provides a foundation for small business owners to participate in federal contracts and open new doors for growth,” said SBA’s Regional Administrator Marianne Markowitz. “With a mission to be a leading IT service provider, 8(a) graduate and veteran Joey Rivera, and his company Rivera Group, have nearly doubled company sales and grown employment by more than 50 percent in the last two years, all while keeping a focus on serving socially-disadvantaged communities.”

Rivera Group, contracting for the United States Army Marketing and Research Group, developed a centralized platform to support recruiting of in-service individuals qualified for specialized and elite military occupational specialties and streamlined operations, saving the Special Operations Recruiting Battalion thousands of man-hours each year and achieving desired levels of efficiency.
